Immune Disease Division

Inflammatory diseases are caused by disruption of immune homeostasis,
which is finely controlled by immune cell responses.
Immune Disease Division has focused on inflammatory diseases,
including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

The purpose of the institute is to develop novel drugs which modify responses of immune cells,
and thereby contribute to unmet needs for patients with inflammatory diseases.

  • Inhibition of the Th2 inflammatory response (IL-13 production) by the candidate in the Th2-mediated animal model
  • Effects of the candidate in COPD model (numbers of neutrophil/eosinophil in BAL)
